What We Do
At The Campaign Group, our focus is on creating the media that wins tough elections. We take complete responsibility for all facets of television, radio, and digital advertising, from the design of a campaign message to the placement of commercials on the air and online. We know that every candidate and campaign is unique and we take a personalized approach to every race.
Our ultimate goal is to develop a perfect campaign message and deliver it precisely through well-produced and strategically-placed commercials. We work closely with the pollster, campaign staff, and candidate to develop a message and an advertising strategy for delivering that message. We write all scripts, provide the entire production crew, shoot and record all video, edit all commercials, and produce the digital files needed for airing.
Our in-house production staff is headed by Mark Moskowitz, who has been with the firm since its inception and whose commercials have become models for the industry. We are one of the few firms with a world-class, in-house production and media placement team. Having these services in-house allows us to customize and guide every aspect of our client’s work, delivering significant strategic and cost advantages for our campaigns.
A properly planned and executed media buy can make or break a campaign. A terrific commercial is worthless if it’s not seen by the voters for whom it is intended. The Campaign Group’s experience in placing media within complex sets of demographic, financial, and strategic constraints is unique. While most firms “contract out” the media buy or have a junior account executive place your media buy, we have our own full-time, in-house media buyer. Lisa Cabanel, who has been The Campaign Group’s media buyer since 1983, has placed media for more than 500 campaigns and has handled total media budgets in excess of $500 million. We have been hired to do the media planning and buying for campaigns led by other media consultants because our unsurpassed expertise in media planning is even recognized by our competitors. Our firm has been recognized as a pioneer in the use of addressability technology in politics, sending different ads to neighboring households.
We bring the same level of detail and excellence to our online advertising. We have maintained an in-house digital operation for years because we believe that it is vital that the same message discipline and targeting apply in the digital space as in other areas.
